This historical bridge was partly funded by grant monies from the
State Historical Fund. This project was a joint venture with Conejos County. Costilla County managed the entire project from start to finish. The bridge is nearing completion and plans are to officially open the bridge May 26th of 2006.

 

 
     
 
CR P.6 Curves Project
This project is funded by CDOT through special funding from the
Federal Government. The project involves widening the two curves East of San Luis on County Road P.6 (by the Vega) and adding signage to provide a safer roadway for citizens of Costilla County. The project went out for bid and bid was opened May the 12th of 2006.
 
San Luis Bridge Rehabilitation Project
A grant was written and submitted for funds to rehabilitate the San Luis Bridge located just South of San Luis crossing the Culebra Creek. The grant status should be known by August of 2006 whether the grant was approved or not.
